How can we live together in a rectangular environment? What kind of space are we building between each other? The Space in between Human, projected onto The Concourse in the centre of Chatswood, is ideally located to question the relationship between the body and contemporary architecture.

All the big urban centres are expanding and we can’t see an end to the growth. As an architectural projection mapping artist - someone who transforms a building into a large 3D screen for the audience - Dorian Rigal Minuit questions how modern architecture relates to our bodies.

The Space in between Human, encourages us to think about what it means to build a concrete or glass wall. To close a space mentally and physically, seal the border of shared space. Built in 2011, The Concourse features typical contemporary architecture with very straight lines. The artist uses a collection of compressed and stretched 3D scans of bodies arranged to create a canvas to fit its orthogonal space.
